Big Congratulations to Steve and Veronica Georgalis!!!

As many of you probably know, Steve was married to long time fiance Veronica this past weekend in Rhodes, Greece. The Notorious B.I.T.O made it down there along with Slim Price and Craig Armstrong - we're expecting a full update.

Steve has been a huge part of Georgia Tech Crew for about a decade now, as an athlete, coach, and great supporter of the team. I doubt he'll ever be able to get far away from the team, despite getting hitched and going back to grad school.

Any other updates out there worth posting?

Don't Forget! Since our first happy hour was such a success, we'll be meeting up at Stool Pigeons today for another one! Meet up around 5:30, and stay for pop culture trivia at 8 if you would like. In other words - people will be there all night so if you can't get there till 6:30 or something...still come on by!! If you're lukcy - you can join "Team Awesome Declares Nuclear War on the Dance Floor". Stool Pigeons is part of the Metropolis building on 10th Street. It's about a block away from Peachtree St - on the other side of Jocks and Jills. It's pretty much just street parking around the area, but there is a parking deck for Metropolis in the back of the building if you would prefer to pay for that.

GT Crew at IRA update!

Hello Alumni,

This year GT Crew sent a men's pair up to Cherry Hill, NJ for the IRA regatta.  Yesterday in the heat, the combination of Brad Ochs and Austin Nichols raced to a fourth place finish to advance to the reps - only the first place boat got a free ticket to the final.  This morning, Tech rebounded with an open water victory in their rep with the third fastest time of the day, taking an open water victory over Wisconsin, Grand Valley, Loyola, and Georgetown.  This victory was good enough to qualify us for the grand final along with Marietta, Cornell, Princeton, Florida Tech, and Rochester.  Brad and Austin race tomorrow.  I'll try to get an email out once I see the results or you can check them yourself at:
